Cosy Evening with Pianist Paulius Zdanavicius and Friends

The concert "Cosy Evening with Pianist Paulius Zdanavicius and Friends" will take place at Kaunas State Philharmonic Hall (L. Sapiegos Str. 5) on the 25th of October at 5 p.m.

Jazz standards, melodies of popular musicals and original compositions of the evening host P.Zdanavicius will resound in the concert.

Paulius took interest in jazz while studying at M.K.Ciurlionis Art Gymnasium in the fortepiano class headed by Prof. E.Ignatonis already. In 2003 the musician obtained the Bachelor's degree at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, where he majored in fortepiano (Doc.Z.Ibelhauptas), and in 2008 he completed the Master studies of a jazz performer (Doc. A.Anusauskas).

The pianist, who has a wonderful academic education and much of stage experience, cooperates with the most outstanding Lithuanian performers of jazz and popular music of the young generation. He has played in Kaunas, Birstonas Jazz, Pazaislis Music, Christopher Summer Festivals. The musician has given concerts in Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Spain, and other European countries.

The pianist formed a jazz trio along with the double bass player Maksim Perepelica and drummer Darius Rudis in 2008. The trio will perform compositions of Michel Camil, Oscar Peterson and Paulius Zdanavicius in the first part of the concert.
